AGMPM  and the European organization EUROPEN (The European Organization for Packaging and the Environment) organized on Friday, April 11, a webinar on Regulation 2025/40 – PPWR following its publication in the Official Journal of the EU and entry into force on February 11, 2025.
Speakers Mrs. Marzia Scopelliti (Senior public affairs Manager EUROPEN) and Mrs. Sévrine Pereira Teixeira (Senior public affairs Manager EUROPEN) analyzed the roadmap for the implementation of the new PPWR regulation until the milestone years 2030 / 2035 / 2038 / 2040, the upcoming secondary legislation and the guidelines which will shape the European packaging market for the coming decades.

The toolbox, the short time frame between the announcement of secondary legislation and its implementation, the direct obligations of packaging material producers, the expected corrective actions of the EU, the overlaps with other European legislation, and the coordination required for the smooth implementation of the new regulation throughout the packaging value chain were key points of the presentations and the discussion that followed in the Q&A session.
