On Thursday, February 26, 2026, industry executives from Greece and abroad attended an educational webinar organized by AGMPM in collaboration with the European Printing Ink Association EUPIA, on the legislative requirements of printing inks in Europe.
The European Printing Inks Association EUPIA was founded in 2003 as a part of CEPE, the European Council of the Paint, Printing Inks and Artists' Paints Industry.
The event began with a presentation by EUPIA Director Cornelia Tietz, who presented the structure, activities, and objectives of the European Printing Inks organization. Christof Walter, Director of the Food Packaging Committee, then analyzed the current European legislative framework for printing inks, the planned changes to the framework regulation (EC) No 1935/2004, the requirements of German and Swiss legislation, and finally the work carried out by the PIJITF committee.
Mr. Karthik Ashok Kumar (sustainability officer CEPE), analyzed the progress in the secondary legislation of the new PPWR 2025/40 regulation, listed the critical implementation dates and reported on the progress in the working groups of the EuPIA.
After the presentations, questions from the audience, which were once again numerous and active, were answered and commented on. The discussion was moderated by Dr. Tsartolia Eugenia, Scientific Advisor of AGMPM. The large and active attendance encourages us to continue our scientific activities
We would like to thank Forum Α.Ε, the organizing company of the Global Pack Packaging Exhibition, and GS1 Association Greece for their support and sponsorship of the event.
The presentations and the video recording of the event are available to AGMPM members via email support@pac.gr.
