Seminar on reusable packaging

On Thursday 2nd February AGMPM  in collaboration with the Dutch Institute for Sustainable Packaging (KIDV, Kennisinstituut Duurzaam Verpakken) organized a webinar, in which the opportunities and challenges of the packaging material production industry from the mandatory use of reusable packaging in the European market were analyzed according to with the proposal of the new regulation on packaging and packaging recycling – PPWR. 

In the first part of the event, Marcel Keuenhof (Netherlands Institute for Sustainable Packaging & co-founder Planet Reuse) set the definition and categories of reusable packaging, cited examples. analyzed the operation of closed loops, presented evaluation tools, analyzed some points of the new European regulation and finally presented good practices from the Netherlands, the UK, France and Germany. 

In the second part of the event Manon Sennechael (InOff Plastic & co-founder Planet Reuse) analyzed some initiatives and practices of using reusable packaging in France and the EU. 

A few minutes of discussion followed and the questions raised in the forum were answered. The video recording of the event is available at the secretariat for AGMPM members and partners.
