On Sunday 9th October a highly successful scientific workshop on food packaging (from lab research to the pilot production run) was held, organized by AGMP and HEL.A.F.T (Hellenic Association of Food Technologists).
Distinguished professors in the field of food packaging (Dr. Spyridon E. Papadakis, Dr. Stilianos Rafailidis) presented novel research projects on innovative food packaging materials as well as the indispensable means of innovation implementation in industrial production (Dr. Antonios Kanavouras). The EFET representative (Dr. Zoe Mousia) reported on the challenges of the latest European legislation on the safe use of food packaging.
In addition, industry representatives (Aristomenis Binis - Sonoco c.p Hellas S.A. and Theodoros Paraskevopoulos – Hatzopoulos S.A) referred to the highly successful implementation of Greek food packaging materials and their distribution to the European market. The scientific conference concluded with the presentation of the latest laboratory techniques used to test migration of food contact materials (Dr. Panagiota Drillia, Tsakalidis laboratories)
