On Friday 23rd June 2017 the advanced training course entitled 'Declaration of Conformity (DoC) of Food Packaging Materials' was held in the headquarters of AGC (Association of Greek Chemists). This niche workshop was co-organized by AGMPM and the Association of Greek Chemists (AGC). More than 60 scientists from the food and packaging industry attended this event.

Dr. Irini Poulima, who represented the General Chemical State Laboratory, analyzed the legal requirements of Food Contact Materials (FCM), the modern laboratory analytical techniques and finally presented examples of DoC.

Dr. Zoi Moussia, who represented the Hellenic Food Authority, reported the good manufacturing practices, the traceability tools, the data retrieval methods and finally introduced practical examples of good and false DoC.

The feedback received from the attendees was quite positive and many questions put by the participants to the lecturers confirmed the necessity of organizing such an advanced workshop. The success of the first collaboration between AGMPM and AGC is a fact and new innovative synergies will be implemented in the near future.
