On February 24, 2018, the 4th Scientific Conference on Smart Packaging and Marketing was held at the Central Amphitheater of Technological Educational Institute of Egaleo. The thematic sections of the event included the description of RFID label case studies, NFC applications, authenticity testing and authentication and authentication techniques product with wireless electronic devices, using Big data in smart packaging as well as marketing techniques for new packaging.

In the Materials and Technologies section, the findings of recent researches on safety inks, thermochemical inks, and conductive water-based inks were presented. In this section, for the first time in Greece, we have presented the available techniques for the de-inking of plastic, flexible and rigid, packaging by the President of our Association. In the same speech, the constraints and challenges to the harmonization of Greek companies were analyzed, in line with the planned European strategy for plastics and the circular economy.
